Horse Barns |

Based in Phelps, NY, Sherri Welser is a mixed media artist who creates colorful works of art and bohemian style jewelry.

Sherri recently purchased a Woodtex Horse Barn, the Durango (center aisle horse barn with raised roof). She selected a horse barn as her studio because she has always loved the vintage style and look of old barns. She was thrilled when she came to Woodtex and discovered our horse barns would make a perfect place for her art studio!

“I love the vaulted ceilings and wood siding as well as the large windows in the barn doors for natural light!”

In addition to using this space as her studio, Sherri has plans to host art workshops and retreats as well. In fact, her first retreat is already planned – the Summer Solstice Art Retreat will take place in June, 2016.

With the weather being so nice this fall, Sherri has already done some work to the inside to make it more own. She did one wall in stucco and added ledge rocks and pine boards, which she painted and distressed. She also hung bi-fold, glass doors from the ceiling, which act as a room divider.

We are looking forward to seeing what Sherri creates in her new Art Studio! Follow WildHeart Art Studio on Facebook or visit her site to follow her work as well.
