34 Years ago, when Sanford & Barbara Lapp started Woodtex, they lived by a set of values that soon became clear to those around them. Hard work. Humility. Serving others. Honesty. Honoring God.
The young Lapp family worked hard as Woodtex grew and prospered. Sadly, Sanford lost his battle with cancer at a young age, and Barb took responsibility for leading the fledgling company.
In this difficult time, the Finger Lakes community rallied around the Lapps and around Woodtex. The seeds Sanford had sown in serving others flourished and grew into a community effort to make sure that Woodtex continued to be a business that could provide jobs and quality structures in the region.
This heritage inspires us and gives us hope as we shape our future. To celebrate and honor this heritage, our Woodtex family is gathering on Friday night for a night of fun, games, food and music.
You’re invited to bring your family and join ours on Friday night. This community has played such an important role in our journey and we’d be honored if you stopped by and said hello on Friday night. This isn’t a sales event – it’s a fun family gathering.
We’re providing drinks, ice cream, cotton candy, and activities for the kids. There will be some great live music, a bonfire, and some cool door prizes. Oak Hill will be making their famous BBQ Chicken, which will be available for purchase.
There’s no cost or obligation – you’re invited to simply bring your family and join us as we honor and celebrate the community and values that have shaped us and helped us be successful.
We’d love to know if you are coming!
